Guilford Security Services has been serving the North Carolina area since 1975. Founded by former Greensboro Police Detective Frank Powers, the agency has steadily grown and is known for professionalism and integrity. The Agency provides armed and unarmed, uniformed officers trained to meet requirements of North Carolina and Guilford Security Agency.

Jim Hightower, retired (30 years) Lieutenant, Criminal Investigations Division, Greensboro Police Department. Jim is a graduate of Southern Police Institute, University of Louisville, and has a Behavioral Science degree from Guilford College. Jim is a licensed armed guard, carries a concealed weapons permit and is a Licensed Private Investigator.

Ernest Cherry, retired (30 years) Greensboro Police Department Fraud Investigator and handwriting expert. Ernest is a graduate of Guilford College with a degree in Criminal Justice Administration. Ernest is a licensed armed guard, carries a concealed weapons permit and is a Licensed Private Investigator.
